comprehensive thoughts and talent in the expression of ideas and
feelings thru the music. These two song represent a unique signature
of songwriting and performance.
The songs structures are well formed. The melodies and harmonies
are properly balanced for a sensitively attracting experience. They
are Radiofriendly and although they have a commercial appeal, even
the sophisticated alternative listener will be satisfied.
Both songs are worth listening, and if there is an album out there
I'm quite sure its values are beyond the money it would cost.
The title "Licorice Heart" makes you think, makes you
wonder what a listener would find in a song. And what is in it will
fully satisfy the genre lovers. On the other side "Performing
Lines" is a good title from a musician's point of view. But
it doesn't say much to a general listener. Plus, the line "Performing
Lines" is not available anywhere thru the lyrics (except for
the title). Usually a title is meant to help the llistener remember
a song, and possibly something of interest from that song. So it
is a good idea to use some of the strongest parts of the song lyrics
for a title. The final words of the Chorus, or a line from the hook
work very well!
With this only note as criticism, I could add that these songs
need to reach the large audiences. Publishers and producers are
always in need for such high quality material. Didilydoowiki know/s
the secrets of creating potential hits evidently - songs writen
with a heart and good sense! Excellent job!
Good Luck,
