Blind Divine -> Blind Divine

It's rather difficult to review a song like "Cradle me" in one page.

Or it could be quite easy - depending on the point of view.

The review could be hours long or just two sentences.

The truth is somewhere in between perhaps.

But I want to make an example out of this one.

There are two points this review will turn, and turn and turn around:
1. This is a great song;
2. The song needs fundamental improvements;
End result = good song...

The above means that we'll see both - great and bad things in this track.

Why a great song:
- Good title
- Good intro
- Good Chorus
- Good Verse
- Good Bridge
- Good End
- Good timing
In a few words - Excellent song structure

Why fundamental improvements:
- Not enough dynamic contrast between the song parts
- Not enough evolution within the sinlge parts
- No memorable song parts

It could be an Art Work if only the World was different. If a song was conceived as a ... well ... just a song. If cradling you was more important than everything, even than communicating the sense of "cradle me". But it isn't.

The song structure is elaborated, natural, logical, Artistic, commercial and professional.
Q. What better you could wish?
A. Something more to remember!

Things needed:
Memorable Chorus and Verse - or memorable Song!
Two ways to achieve it:
1. Work on the creation of dynamic contrast or evolution between the Verse and Chorus. Ways to achieve it could include:
Use pauses before the one, the other or both. Add instruments, beats, vocals or rhythm switches. These simple things will bring different/additional colors and feelings to the song and the needed dynamic development;
2. Write a different melody - doesn't matter if for the Chorus or Verse. Just give it a different idea by changing the key, or tonality (major/minor), intonation or just harmony. Or just talk (why not). But please, you have to have a Chorus different than the Verse (or a Verse different than the Chorus).

How good is to have a good song?
Cradle me is a good song because it shows that you know how to write music. It has good parts - melody, lyrics, rhythm, harmonies, STRUCTURE, title, performance.

How bad is to have a good song? There is the risk that you'll not be noticed. A track needs to have something in it that will impress the listener. Will stuck the title and that one song part which will repeat it again and again...in his head. Yes, one only is enough and it may help you earn thousands in Fans and millions in $!
Someone will call it Hook, others Chorus or vibe... No matter how you choose to name it, keep in mind while writing and performing it, that it has to scream (loud or softly): "HEY YOU, THIS IS CRADLE ME AND IT'LL BE WITH YOU TODAY, TOMORROW AND FOR MANY WEEKS TO COME".

The entire song and every single part of it is good and flows nicely, but... doesn't "scream". It needs just a little more.
And it seems to me that Blind Divine have the right skills to make a Hit!
