At
23, Eddie's career was stopped by cancer after achieving
two gold LPs. After 5 years of treatments and battle
with depression Eddie went on to do productions and
arrangements with Elis Pacheco ( www.payupentertainment.com
- related to Elis Pacheco and Ice T).
Eventually, Eddie turned down some offerings from major
labels because it favored the labels and Eddie did not
want to have to get depressed again in life. So he formed
TiaraMusic. After talking with his friend David Wasserman
who opened a Jazz/Latin label with great distribution,
Eddie decided that he would market, manufacture and
have Latin Cool Records distribute TiaraMusic.
Eddie
Benitez owns TiaraMusic and is Considered one of the
top Guitarist ever. A Grammy nominee at the age of 14,
back in 1977, now he is independant of all the major
labels. Eddie is re-inventing his music and is inspired
by two main things - Guitar and Sensuality.
