The
main purpose of this site is to offer Music Videos. You
need the Windows Media Player since we use the Windows
Media streaming Format. If you experience some problems
while watching or attempting to, please read the following:
1.
Possible problems:
a)
When I click a video link, the player's status bar says
"connecting to codec server" or "downloading
codec"
*** You don't have the Windows Media V8 or 9 codec installed
for your player. This is a small download, takes a few
seconds and after that you'll be able to watch some of
the best Indie Music Videos in better quality.
b)
When I try to watch videos, I don't see any images but
audio is working
*** Probably your connection is not powerful enough. In
this case
the WMP will deliver only audio in contrast to Real Player
which will deliver lower audio and video quality.
c)
I'm behind a proxy, how to configure it?
*** Open your Player -
> for version 7 and 7.1 click Tools -> Options ->
Network -> under Proxy Settings click Configure ->
check the "Use the following proxy server" radio
box and input the address and port number. Click Ok, then
Apply, Ok and then restart your Player.
If you don't know the Proxy address and port, ask your
Network Administrator.
>> WMPlayer 9 -> click Tools -> Options ->
Network then the Configure... button, -> check the
"Use the following proxy server" radio box and
input the address and port number. Click Ok, then Apply,
Ok and then restart your Player.
If you don't know the Proxy address and port, ask your
Network Administrator.

for version 6.2 and 6.4 click View -> Options ->
Advanced ->
select Windows Media and then click Change -> check
the "Use proxy" radio button then Configure
Proxy Settings. In the box enter the proxy address and
port click Ok -> Apply -> Ok then restart you player.
If you don't know your proxy address and port - ask your
Network
Administrator.
d)
I have the latest RealOne Player and want to use it to
watch videos from this site.
*** If it works then it's a bug, please report it to Realnetworks.com.
We use Windows Media Services for streaming, so watching
this site's videos thru the RealOne Player is not possible
(for now).
e)
I'm on Mac. Can I watch videos from this site?
*** Yes, please download the latest WM Player!
f)
I'm on Linux...
*** Sorry, no player is available for now!
g)
My browser is Web TV.
*** this browser does not support the WM Player. You can
ask them to add this feature.
h)
My browser is Opera.
*** this browser does not support embedded player. We'll
be adding soon links to stand-alone player videos.
i)
I click on a video link. The status bar says Connecting
to server
and then closed.
*** Right click the Player's display and then error details.
We control our system on a daily basis, but if you get
a "invalid or corrupted file" message, please
report it to us. ]
Other
a)
My computer is crashing.
*** Buy a faster processor so you can reboot faster ;-)
Beware that Computers can make very fast, very accurate
mistakes, so never let a computer know you're in a hurry,
AND DON'T TAKE IT PERSONALLY!
2.
Why don't you offer more videos from major Artists?
*** There are many places for them (MTV, VH1, Much Music,
etc.,
etc., etc., etc....
3.
Can I have videos from you for my site?
*** Go to the Archives section. Titles with a star close
to them
are available for licensing. Green Star means free, Blue
star - paid.
4.
Can I put a link on my site directly to videos from your
site?
*** We don't allow it. File names change often and you
can end up with a dead link on your site.
5.
Can I link to video pages from your site?
*** Yes, if enabled. There is a link close to Titles offering
you the code.
6.
Can I buy CDs from you?
*** No. But there is a "Buy CD" link under each
video. You can use
it for purchases directly from the Artists.
7.
